Ralph is a rescue dog that was found by firefighters. The sad news about this dog is the presence of a tumor in one of his legs and him having hip dysplasia. Viktor Larkhill, the current caretaker of the dog, has been receiving messages from people to let go of the dog. Euthanasia, in other words.

However, Viktor didn’t accept the suggestions and continued taking care of Ralph. In the video, the dog is seen wearing neck braces and straps to support his body. A sock for his front paw can also be seen as cover for the tumor inside his paw. These are all necessary support for Ralph.

As the dog is being cared for, one can notice the sadness in his eyes due to his current health condition. The caretakers are always present and they don’t hesitate to give Ralph the best treatment possible. The video also shows how careful the vets are when handling this old rescue dog.

Viktor points out that most people have a very practical way of thinking when it comes to a rescued dog. He says that most people that see an old dog being taken in would suggest euthanasia. Other people find it a waste of time to care for senior dogs. However, this is not something Viktor believes in.

Viktor wants to send a message regarding the value and importance of rescuing senior dogs. Young dogs or puppies aren’t the only ones deserving of great care and attention. According to Viktor, we must consider that these senior dogs have a past life and we barely know what they have been through.

Viktor believes senior dogs deserve as much attention as younger pups, if not more. He then proceeds to thank everyone who has been part of Ralph’s journey. Viewers were also urged to give any form of help they can for Ralph the old rescue dog.
